Mandolinist and guitarist, teacher and musicologist: since 2025 she has held the Chair of Mandolin at the “Niccolò Piccinni” Conservatory in Bari.
Education
Born in 1986, she holds a degree in Musicology, with a dissertation on the mandolin at the Società Filodrammatica in Cremona. She obtained her traditional Diploma in Mandolin with highest honours from the “Giuseppe Verdi” Conservatory of Milan, followed by a two-year Second-Level Degree in Mandolin, graduating with 110/110, honours and an honourable mention.
She was selected several times for the Premio delle Arti and, in 2013, received the Premio Forziati as the best student of the entire Conservatory of Milan. She also obtained a Second-Level Degree in Classical Guitar from the “Peri Merulo” Conservatory of Reggio Emilia and completed a Professional Continuing Education Course in Music Psychology at the University of Siena.
Teaching
She has taught Mandolin at the Conservatory of Milan alongside Maestro Ugo Orlandi, at the Conservatory of Reggio Emilia, at the “Veronica Gambara” Music High School in Brescia, at the “Paolina Secco Suardo” Music High School in Bergamo and at the “Camillo Golgi” High School in Breno. In 2025 she taught Mandolin and Chamber Music at the IOMS Institute – “Giuseppe Verdi” Music High School in Milan. Since summer 2025 she has held the Chair of Mandolin at the “Niccolò Piccinni” Conservatory in Bari.
During the 2024/2025 academic year she taught guitar as part of the FREP programme at the “Peri Merulo” Conservatory of Reggio Emilia. Until 2025 she taught plucked-string instruments for almost twenty years at the “Estudiantina” Music Society in Casalmaggiore.
She has given numerous masterclasses on plucked-string instruments and ensemble playing in France – in the Cévennes and at the Conservatoire de Persan near Paris –, in Croatia at the Academy of Music in Split, at the “Bartolomeo Bortolazzi” Mandolin Festival in Toscolano Maderno and at the “Peri Merulo” Conservatory of Reggio Emilia.
On stage
She has collaborated with the Fondazione Arena di Verona, the Teatro Verdi in Trieste, the Teatro Regio in Parma, the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Myung-Whun Chung, the Solisti Veneti conducted by Claudio Scimone, the Cappella Musicale San Giacomo of Bologna, the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, the Teatro Sociale di Mantova and the Athenian Mandolinata “Nikolas Lavdas”.
She frequently appears as a soloist with the French orchestra “Alès Synfonia” and with the French associations “Canto Organo” and “Quinta d’Isula”. She maintains an ongoing collaboration with the Associazione Musicale “Il Vagabondo” in Trento and with the Piccola Orchestra Lumière, the resident orchestra of the Società Filarmonica di Trento, with which she performs works by composer Nicola Segatta and took part in the “Ice Music” project on the Presena Glacier.
Since 2000 she has been a permanent member and soloist on mandolin, mandola and cantabile lute with the “Città di Brescia” Mandolin and Guitar Orchestra conducted by Claudio Mandonico, performing throughout Italy, Europe and the United States.
The instruments
In her solo projects she plays all the ancient and modern instruments of the mandolin family as well as the guitar. She regularly performs on 6- and 12-string gut-string instruments (Lombard and Milanese mandolins), on 4-string instruments with single gut strings (Cremonese or Brescia mandolins) and on the cantabile lute, with 10 double strings.
She is active in numerous chamber formations: duos with guitar, piano, violin, viola, accordion, cello, organ, clarinet, percussion or flute, mandolin duo, trios, classical and Romantic plucked-string quartets and ensembles with historical instruments. She performs in a flute-guitar duo with Frédéric Chatoux, Principal Flute of the Opéra de Paris; with Corsican organist Viviane Loriaut-Damiani she regularly tours Europe; in the Trio “Les Étoiles”, with Elena Telò and Elena Laffranchi, she plays all the plucked-string instruments; with the “Navavar” Ensemble she performs traditional Armenian music and works by Nicola Segatta.

Recordings
She has recorded for Fabula Classica with the Solisti Veneti (“On the Wings of Love”), for Tactus with the Cappella Musicale San Giacomo (“Il Seicento italiano alla spagnuola”) and numerous albums, including solo parts, with the “Città di Brescia” Orchestra.
In June 2016 the magazine Amadeus published “Souvenir”, recorded with guitarist Gabriele Zanetti. Together with cellist Daniela Santamaura, in the Duo “Le Gentil Dame”, she recorded “Divertimenti per camera” for Da Vinci Classics (2017), including the first complete recording ever made of the three sonatas by Giovanni Hoffmann. “Ergobando” (Movimento Classical, 2025) contains compositions specially written for her by composer and pianist Riccardo Barba.
